Abstract

The purpose of this article is to design an exoskeleton for therapeutic aids for people with cerebral palsy. Which in the manufacturing process uses the digital printing additive manufacturing and conventional methods. The reference in the design is the data from surveys and observations on respondents with cerebral palsy in East Java, especially in Surabaya and its surroundings. The data collected includes data related to biometrics and technical data of the material to be used. This data will affect the mechanism and technical aspects of the exoskeleton to be made. The findings indicate that tool designed is in the form of an exoskeleton, which is a backbone supporting device that is connected to the user's arm. Between the spine and the arms are connected by several hydraulic rods. The compressive force of the hydraulic rod used will help the user's arm to move
