Abstract

ABSTRAK

Berdasarkan data awal sebelum melakukan pengolahan terhadap air limbah rumah potong hewan (RPA) Kecamatan Dawar Blandong, Kabupaten Mojokerto, Jawa Timur mengandung bahan pencemar BOD, lemak/minyak dan pH yang melebihi baku mutu yang ditetapkan sesuai peraturan gubernur no. 72 tahun 2013. Hasil uji awal limbah RPA menunjukan kadar BOD sebesar 1203mg/l dan minyak/lemak sebesar 8694 mg/l. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh fitoremediasi terhadap penurunan kadar BOD dan lemak/minyak. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis tanaman yang digunakan yaitu tanaman kangkung dan tanaman pakcoy. Biofilter digunakan sebagai pretreatment yang dipadukan menggunakan fitoremediasi dengan jenis tanaman kangkung dan tanaman pakcoy. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan selama 4 hari berturut turut untuk mendapatkan hasil akhir. Berdasarkan hasil treatment yang telah dilakukan pada reaktor 1 didapatkan hasil akhir penurunan kadar BOD 226mg/l dengan persentase (78%) dan minyak/lemak sebesar 180 mg/l dengan persentase (98%). Pada reaktor 2 didapatkan hasil akhir penurunan kadar BOD 225mg/l dengan persentase (78%) dan minyak/lemak sebesar 186 mg/l dengan persentase (98%).

ABSTRACT

Based on preliminary data before treating slaughterhouse wastewater (RPA) Dawar Blandong District, Mojokerto Regency, East Java contains BOD pollutants, fats / oils and pH that exceed the quality standards set according to governor regulation no. 72 of 2013. The initial test results of RPA waste showed BOD levels of 1203mg/l and oil/fat of 8694mg/l. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of phytoremediation on reducing BOD and fat/oil levels. The variables in this study are the types of plants used, namely kale plants and pakcoy plants. Biofilters are used as pretreatment combined using phytoremediation with kale and pakcoy plants. Sampling is carried out for 4 consecutive days to get the final result. Based on the results of treatment that has been carried out at reactor 1, the final result was a decrease in BOD levels of 226mg / l with a percentage (78%) and oil / fat by 180 mg / l with a percentage (98%). In reactor 2, the final result was a decrease in BOD levels of 225mg / l with a percentage (78%) and oil / fat by 186 mg / l with a percentage (98%).
