Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui
keefektifan aplikasi Monkey Stories terhadap penguasaan kosa
kata siswa kelas 4 di SDN Semambung 1. Siswa memiliki
kosakata yang rendah sehingga membuat mereka takut berbicara di depan kelas untuk bercerita. Hal tersebut mengarahkan minat peneliti untuk melakukan penelitian di Sekolah Dasar guna memecahkan masalah tersebut. Peneliti menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pre�test and post-test group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 4 SDN Semambung 1 sebanyak 60 siswa yang diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling untuk pengambilan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Peneliti mengambil A sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakanaplikasi Monkey Stories dan B sebagai kelas kontrol dengan metode konvensional.Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial melalui
Program SPSS. Secara deskriptif, siswa pada kelompok
eksperimen berprestasi lebih baik daripada siswa pada
kelompok kontrol. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil nilai rata�rata kelompok eksperimen adalah 8,633, sedangkan nilai rata�rata kelompok kontrol adalah 5,3. Hasil uji-t juga menunjukkan bahwa skor t-hitung post-test kelompok eksperimen adalah 8,531 dan skor t-tabel adalah 1,69913 yang berdasarkan derajat kebebasan adalah 29. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa t-hitung > t�tabel, dimana: 8,531 > 1,69913. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi Monkey Stories memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap penguasaan kosa kata siswa daripada menggunakan metode konvensional.

The aim of this study was to find out the effectiveness
of Monkey Stories application on students’ vocabulary mastery of grade at SDN Semambung 1. The students were low
about on their vocabulary that make them afraid of speaking in front of the class to story-telling. It leads researcher’sinterest in conducting a research in Elementary School in order to solve the problem. The researcher used quantitative research with pre-test and post-test group design. The population of this research was the grade at SDN Semambung 1 consisting 60 students which was takenby using cluster random sampling technique to take the experimental and control class. The researcher took A as the experimental class using Monkey Stories application and B as the control class with conventional method.The data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially through SPSS Program. Descriptively, the students in the experimental group achieved better than the students in the control group. It was proven by the result of the mean score of the experimental group was 8,633, while the mean score of the
control group was 5,3. The result of the t-test also showed that the score of the t-calculate of experimental group post-test was 8,531 and the score of t-table was 1,69913 which based on the degree of freedom was 29. It showed that the t-calculate > t�table, where: 8,531 > 1,69913. It could be concluded that the Monkey Stories application had a significant effecton the students’ vocabulary mastery rather than using conventional method.
