PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VII SMP HANG TUAH 2 SURABAYA

Penelitian ini berlatang belakang tentang rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Matematika di SMP Hang Tuah 2 Surabaya. Ada banyak cara untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar pada siswa. Salah satu cara yang bisa digunakan adalah menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Adapun rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah “ Apakah ada pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa?”. Memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh problem based learning terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Hang Tuah 2 Surabaya.

Design penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif jenis True Experimental, sedangkan bentuk penelitiannya menggunkan posttes only control. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Hang Tuah 2 Surabaya. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-A dan VII-B. Teknik pemilihan sampel yang digunakan adalah menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini berupa soal tes.Analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah uji normalitas, homogenitas dan uji hipotesis atau uji-t.

Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang diperoleh bahwa Pada kelas VII-A menghasilkan nilai X^2hitung < X^2tabel => 5,675 < 9,488 dan kelas VII-B menghasilkan nilai X^2hitung < X^2tabel => 8,510 > 9,488, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kelasVII-A dan kelas berdistribusi normal. Pada analisis data menggunakan uji-t diperoleh thitung = 36,01079 dengan tarap signifikan 0,05 dan ttabel = 2,32462. Hal tersebut menunjukkan thitung lebih besar dari ttabel, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran problem based learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VII di SMP Hang Tuah 2 Surabaya.

The background of this research is about the low learning outcomes of students in Mathematics at SMP Hang Tuah 2 Surabaya. There are many ways to improve student learning outcomes. One way that can be used is to use the Problem Based Learning model. The formulation of the problem in this study is "Is there any effect of Problem Based Learning learning model on students' mathematics learning outcomes?". The aim is to determine whether there is an effect of problem based learning on the mathematics learning outcomes of seventh grade students at SMP Hang Tuah 2 Surabaya.

The research design used is a quantitative True Experimental type, while the form of the research uses a posttest only control. The population in this study were all seventh grade students of SMP Hang Tuah 2 Surabaya. The sample in this study were students of class VII-A and VII-B. The sample selection technique used is simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques in this study were in the form of test questions. The data analysis used in this study was normality, homogeneity and hypothesis testing or t-test.

Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that in class VII-A the value X² count < X² table => 5.675 <9.488 and class VII-B the value X ² count < X² table => 8,510 > 9.488 , so it can be concluded that class VII-A and Class VII-B is normally distributed. In data analysis using t-test obtained tcount = 36,01079 with a significant level of 0.05 and ttable = 2,32462. This shows that tcount is greater than ttable, so it can be concluded that there is an effect of problem-based learning on the learning outcomes of seventh grade students at SMP Hang Tuah 2 Surabaya.
