PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STUDENT TEAMS ACHIEVEMENT DIVISION (STAD) TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VII SMP HANG TUAH 2 SURABAYA

Penelitian ini berlatar belakang tentang rendahnya kemampuan dalam memahami masalah pada mata pelajaran matematika SMP Hang Tuah 2 Surabaya. Ada pun rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah “Apakah adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) Terhadap Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika siswa ?”.Dengan memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) Terhadap Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika Kelas VII SMP Hang Tuah 2 Surabaya pada materi Bentuk Aljabar.
Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII yang berjumlah 66 Siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini di ambil 2 kelas yaitu kelas VII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII-A sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengmpulan data yang digunakan adalag tes dalam bentuk essay. Analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah uji normalitas, homogenitas dan uji hipotesis atau uji-t.
Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang diperoleh. Pada uji-t diperoleh t_(hitung )>t_(tabel ) yaitu 7,952 > 2,018 hal ini berarti H_a diterima dan H_0 ditolak, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe student teams achievement division (STAD) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Hang Tuah 2 Surabaya.

This research is based on the low ability to understand problems in mathematics at SMP Hang Tuah 2 Surabaya. The formulation of the problem in this study is "Is there any influence of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) Cooperative learning model on students' Mathematical Problem Solving Ability?". With the aim of knowing the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) Cooperative Learning Model on Ability Solving Math Problems for Class VII SMP Hang Tuah 2 Surabaya on Algebraic Forms material.
This research uses a type of quantitative research. The population of this research was all of class VII which consisted of 66 students. The sample in this study was taken by 2 classes, namely class VII C as the experimental class and class VII-A as the control class. The data collection technique used is a test in the form of an essay. The data analysis used in this study is the normality test, homogeneity and hypothesis testing or t-test.
Based on the results of the analysis of the data obtained. In the t-test obtained t_(count )> t_(table ) namely 7.952 > 2.018 this means that H_a is accepted and H_0 is rejected, it can be interpreted that there is an influence of the cooperative learning model type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) on the ability to solve students' problems class VII SMP Hang Tuah 2 Surabaya.
