PENGENDALIAN KUALITAS PROSES PACKING MENGGUNAKAN METODE SIX SIGMA DI PERUSAHAAN PUPUK DI GRESIK

Perusahaan Pupuk merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang
produksi pupuk untuk Sawit. Pengendalian kualitas merupakan suatu kegiatan
yang dilakukan agar produk memiliki kesesuaian dengan standar yang telah
ditetapkan. Penelitian yang dilakukan di Perusahaan Pupuk ini ditujukan untuk
mengetahui bagaimana cara mengatasi produk yang cacat pada proses packing
yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam melakukan
pengendalian kualitas ini ialah Six Sigma DMAIC, metode ini meliputi beberapa
tahapan yaitu Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control. Jenis kecacatan yang
ditemukan dalam proses packing antara lain ialah produk Karung bocor, isi
Underweight, tidak ada tanda EXP pada karung, tertusuk forklift.
Dari penelitian yang sudah dilakukan dapat diketahui jenis kecacatan yang
terjadi adalah karung bocor , isi underweight , tidak ada tanda EXP pada karung
dan tertusuk forklift. Nilai rata-rata level sigma pada proses packing yakni sebesar
2.118 dan kemungkinan terjadi kecacatan sebesar 34,865,04 unit berdasarkan
perhitungan nilai DPMO. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui penyebab kecacatan
proses packing adalah faktor operator, material, mesin, lingkungan, dan metode.

Fertilizer Company is a company engaged in the production of fertilizer
for Palm Oil. Quality control is an activity carried out so that the product conforms
to predetermined standards. The research conducted at the Fertilizer Company is
aimed at finding out how to deal with defective products in the packing process
carried out by the company. The method used in carrying out this quality control
is Six Sigma DMAIC, this method includes several stages, namely Define,
Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control. The types of defects found in the packing
process included leaking sacks, contents underweight, no EXP sign on the sacks,
punctured by a forklift.
From the research that has been done, it can be seen that the types of defects
that occur are leaky sacks, underweight contents, no EXP signs on the sacks and
punctured by forklifts. The average value of the sigma level in the packing process
is 2,118 and the possibility of defects occurring is 34,865.04 units based on the
calculation of the DPMO value. From the research results it is known that the
causes of defects in the packing process are operator factors, materials, machines,
environment, and methods
