Abstract

Online Learning Effectiveness is the achievement of learning objectives through the learning process carried out
in the internet network. In the learning process, students are required to actively participate in the learning
activities presented by the teacher to be effective. Effective online learning can provide good understanding to
students. Effective online learning can be achieved by providing fun online learning. The problem in this study is
that students do not understand the learning material during the online learning process in the Covid-19
pandemic era. The purpose of this study was to describe the effectiveness of online learning in the Covid-19
pandemic era on the understanding of fifth grade students at SD Hang Tuah 10 Juanda. This study used a
descriptive-quantitative approach with a survey research design. The population of this study were students of
class V. The sampling technique used was quota 1 sampling in class 5D as the research object with a total of 23
students. Methods of data collection using questionnaires and tests. Data analysis using descriptive statistics.
The results of the research data did not use comparative data, but concluded based on norms and then
concluded based on the criteria. Based on the results of data analysis, the effectiveness of online learning got a
percentage of 83% with the criteria quite effective and students' understanding got a percentage of 78% with
good criteria. The conclusion of this study is that online learning in the Covid-19 pandemic era is quite effective
and students' understanding is good.
