Abstract

Dalam memahami suatu ujaran, pendengar harus menerjemahkan apa yang diasumsikan penutur. Asumsi penutur termasuk dalam ujaran yang harus diterjemahkan oleh pendengar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan praanggapan diantara murid dan guru di interaksi kelas. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif diterapkan di mana transkripsi percakapan antara guru dan siswa dapat menggambarkan bagaimana presuposisi yang diujarkan oleh guru dapat dipahami oleh siswa. Sumber datanya adalah ujaran yang diujarkan oleh guru yang diambil dari interaksi kelas. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Data dideskripsikan dan dianalisis secara deskriptif berdasarkan kategori dan terakhir adalah membuat kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan 5 jenis praanggapan, yaitu: eksistensial, faktual, leksikal, struktural, dan non factive. Penetlian ini juga menemukan satu kata baru yaitu ‘hope’ yang memiliki arti sama dengan ‘wish’ dan ‘dream’ yang dikatagorikan dalam praanggapan non faktif. Dalam setiap ujaran mengandung berbagai bentuk kata yang mengendikasi praanggapan. Namun, setiap jenis praanggapan tidak hanya menunjukkan 1 jenis bentuk kata. Setiap ujaran memiliki jenis frasa berbeda yang mengindikasi adanya praanggapan. Ujaran-ujaran ini juga memiliki setiap jenis praanggapan. Maka dari itu, untuk mengkatagorikan setiap jenis praanggapan tidak hanya melihat frasa, tapi juga konteks yang di diskusikan oleh penutur.

In understanding utterances, a listener needs to interpret what the speaker assumes. The speaker assumption is included in the utterances that must be interpreted by the listener. This research aims to describe the presupposition between teacher and student in the classroom interaction. A qualitative descriptive research was applied in which the transcription of the conversation between the teacher and students can describe how the presupposition uttered by the teacher can be understood by the students. The soure of the data is the utterances uttered by the teacher that are taken from classroom interaction. the data analysis was conducted by using descriptive analysis. The data were descriptively described and analyzed based on the catagories and the last is making conclusions. The result of this research showed 5 types of presuppositions, there are: existential, factive, lexical, structural and non factive presupposition. The research also found one new word ‘hope’ that has same meaning as ‘wish’ and’dream’ which is catagorized in non factive presupposition. In each utterances contained various word forms that indicated presupposition. However, each types of presupposition not only showed 1 type of word forms. Each utterances have different types of phrase that indicated presupposition in it. These utterances also have each types of presupposition. Therefore, to catagorize each types of presupposition not only looking at the phrase, but also the context that discussed by the speaker.
