Batik Abhi Boyo merupakan batik asal Surabaya yang menjadi batik khas Surabaya. Keberadaannya menjadi simbol dari sebuah keluhuran, kompleksitas sikap adati, kreativitas, artistik, dan inovasi. Esensi batik tidak hanya terbatas pada menghias permukaan kain dengan teknik merintangi atau meresapkan warna pada mori yang terhalang lilin malam, namun juga dihubungkan dengan pengalaman estetis penciptanya dalam mengungkapkan curahan perasaan serta pemikiran terhadap kekuatan-kekuatan di luar dirinya untuk mewujudkan karya seni batik yang artistik. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yakni bagaimana estetika bentuk pada motif batik Motif Batik Surabaya Abhi Boyo Karya Putu Selistiani Prabowo Tahun 2022?. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni mendeskripsikan estetika bentuk pada motif batik Motif Batik Surabaya Abhi Boyo Karya Putu Selistiani Prabowo Tahun 2022.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini berbentuk gambar batik Abhi Boyo. Sumber data dari penelitian ini yakni hasil observasi dan wawancara di Batik Dewi Saraswati yang bertempat di Jalan Jemursari Utara II no 19 yang berdiri sejak tahun 2004, didirikan oleh Ibu Putu Sulistiani Prabowo. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif.
Hasil analisi penelitian menunjuka bahwa pada motif batik Surabaya Abhi Boyo Karya Putu Selistiani Prabowo Tahun 2022 terdapat beberapa motif yakni motif boyo atau disebut buaya, motif bunga, motif aliran air sungai, dan motif sekar jagat. Motif boyo merupakan motif utama pada jenis batik Surabaya ini dan sebagai simbol dari kota Surabaya itu sendiri dan memiliki makna keberanian. Unsur warna secara dominan pada motif bati Abhi Boyo ini berwarna merah tua namun pada setiap motif tambahan diberikan warna berbeda guna memberikan kesan keluar dari warna.

Abhi Boyo batik is a batik from Surabaya which is a typical Surabaya batik. Its existence is a symbol of nobility, the complexity of traditional attitudes, creativity, artistic and innovation. The essence of batik is not only limited to decorating the surface of the cloth with blocking techniques or absorbing color onto the mori which is blocked by the wax, but is also linked to the aesthetic experience of the creator in expressing the outpouring of feelings and thoughts towards forces outside himself to create artistic works of batik art. The formulation of the problem in this study is how is the aesthetic form of the Surabaya Batik Motif Abhi Boyo by Putu Selistiani Prabowo in 2022?.
The purpose of this study is to describe the aesthetics of the form in the Surabaya Batik Motif Abhi Boyo by Putu Selistiani Prabowo in 2022. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. The data in this study are in the form of Abhi Boyo batik images. The source of the data for this study is the results of observations and interviews at Batik Dewi Saraswati which is located at Jalan Jemursari Utara II no 19 which was established in 2004, founded by Mrs. Putu Sulistiani Prabowo. Data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive analysis.
The results of the research analysis show that in the Surabaya Abhi Boyo batik motif by Putu Selistiani Prabowo in 2022 there are several motifs, namely the Boyo motif or called crocodile, floral motifs, river water flow motifs, and sekar jagat motifs. The boyo motif is the main motif in this type of Surabaya batik and is a symbol of the city of Surabaya itself and has the meaning of courage. The dominant color element in Abhi Boyo’s baton motif is dark red, but each additional motif is given a different color to give the impression of being out of color.
