Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah adalah kemampuan individu dalam menganalisis dan menggambarkan semua ide, informasi, dan proses berpikir yang dimilikinya dalam memecahkan suatu masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Model Means Ends Analysis (MEA) berbantuan geogebra terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa SMA Kartika IV-3 Surabaya. Desain penelitian ini adalah Posttest-Only Control Design. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling dan diperoleh sampel yaitu kelas XI MIPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang diajarkan dengan model MEA berbantuan geogebra lebih tinggi dari pada siswa yang diajarkan dengan model MEA saja. Hal tersebut didasarkan pada hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji independent sample t-test dengan nilai sig. = 0,023 < α = 0,05 yang menunjukkan H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Selain itu, berdasarkan ketercapaian indikator kemampuan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model MEA berbantuan geogebra lebih tinggi daripada siswa kelas kontrol yang menerapkan model MEA saja, dengan persentase 80, 58% untuk kelas eksperimen dan 73,55% untuk kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran MEA berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMA.

Problem solving ability is the ability of individuals to analyze and describe all the ideas, information, and thought processes they have in solving a problem. This study aims to determine the effect of the Means Ends Analysis (MEA) Model assisted by Geogebra on the problem solving ability of Kartika IV-3 Surabaya high school students. The design of this research is Posttest-Only Control Design. The sampling method used cluster random sampling technique and obtained samples, namely class XI MIPA 1 as an experimental class and class XI MIPA 2 as a control class. The data collection technique used was the problem solving ability test. The data analysis techniques used in this study were normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. The results revealed that the average mathematical problem solving ability of students taught with the MEA model assisted by geogebra was higher than that of students taught with the MEA model alone. This is based on the results of hypothesis testing using the independent sample t-test with a sig value. = 0.023 < α = 0.05 which indicates H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. In addition, based on the achievement of indicators of mathematical problem solving ability, the experimental class students who applied the MEA model assisted by geogebra were higher than the control class students who applied the MEA model alone, with a percentage of 80, 58% for the experimental class and 73.55% for the control class. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the MEA learning model affects the mathematical problem solving ability of high school student.
