Menulis tugas akhir dapat menjadi hal yang sulit bagi guru yang masih dalam masa percobaan jika mereka tidak mengerti bagaimana cara menulisnya dengan benar. Perkembangan teknologi menjadi salah satu hal yang membantu para guru prajabatan untuk mengerjakan tugas akhir mereka dengan menggunakan media seperti Reference Manager Software.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi guru pra-jabatan tentang penggunaan RMS dalam penulisan akademik bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara dan telaah dokumen. Data diperoleh dari guru bahasa Inggris pra-jabatan dari Universitas PGRI Adi
Buana Surabaya. Sebanyak 6 orang guru pra-jabatan berpartisipasi dalam wawancara. Data kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mereka merasakan adanya bantuan terhadap penggunaan RMS dalam penulisan akademis bahasa Inggris termasuk penghematan waktu dalam menulis karya tulis dan
pengorganisasian dan pengelolaan sumber daya penulisan. Namun, para guru pra-jabatan menemukan masalah teknis dalam menggunakan RMS seperti mengalami tantangan dalam proses instalasi dan membutuhkan upaya awal untuk membiasakan diri dengan alat tersebut. Oleh karena itu, guru-guru pra-jabatan mengatasi masalah dalam menggunakan RMS dengan belajar secara mandiri dari sumber-sumber daring dan mencari
bantuan dan dukungan dari pihak lain.

Writing a final project can be difficult for pre-service
teachers if they do not understand how to write it properly. The development of technology is one of the things that helps pre�service teachers to do their final assignments by using media such as Reference Manager Software. This study aims to find out pre�service teachers' perceptions about using RMS in English academic writing. This study used a qualitative case study method. Data collection was carried out by means of interview and document review. Data were obtained from pre-service English teachers from Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya. A total of 6 pre-service teachers participated in the interview. The data were then analyzed
used thematic analysis. The result of the research shows that they percieved assistance toward the use of RMS in English academic writing including time saving in writing worked cited and organaizing and managering writing resources. However, pre�service teachers found technical problems in using RMS such as experiencing challenges in the installation process and requiring initial effort to familiarize with the tool. Therefore, pre-service teachers deal with the issues in using the RMS by independent
learning from online resources and seeking aid and support form others.
