ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA SMP KATEGORI CAMPER DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL SISTEM PERSAMAAN LINEAR DUA VARIABEL

Komunikasi matematika merupakan salah satu cara untuk mengungkapkan suatu ide matematik secara lisan ataupun tertulis dalam bentuk gambar, aljabar ataupun diagram. Kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa perlu dikembangkan karena komunikasi merupakan kegiatan yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Siswa pada kemampuan ini berada dalam kategori sangat rendah. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan respon siswa yang gagal mencapai indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SMP kategori camper dalam menyelesaikan soal sistem persamaan linear dua variabel. Subyek yang digunakan adalah 2 siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 2 Gedangan dengan kategori camper. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan hasil diperoleh sesuai indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Analisis dilakukan pembagian angket Adversity Response Profile (ARP), pemberian soal tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan dilakukan wawancara. Soal tes yang digunakan yaitu 3 soal uraian dengan materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel. Hasil dari penelitian siswa kategori camper dalam menyelesaikan soal komunikasi matematis. Siswa camper 1 dapat memenuhi 3 indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis pada waktu ke-2. Siswa camper 2 dapat memenuhi 3 indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis pada waktu ke-3.
Mathematical communication is one way to express a mathematical idea orally or in writing in the form of pictures, algebra or diagrams. Students' mathematical communication skills need to be developed because communication is a very important activity in everyday life. Students with this ability are in the very low category. This is evidenced by the responses of students who fail to achieve indicators of mathematical communication ability. The purpose of this study was to describe the mathematical communication abilities of junior high school students in the camper category in solving two-variable linear equation systems problems. The subjects used were 2 class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Gedangan with the camper category. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with the results obtained according to the indicators of students' mathematical communication ability. The analysis was carried out by distributing the Adversity Response Profile (ARP) questionnaire, giving test questions for mathematical communication skills and conducting interviews. The test questions used are 3 description questions with a system of two-variable linear equation systems. The results of the camper category student research in solving mathematical communication problems. Camper 1 student can fulfil 3 indicators of mathematical communication skills for the 2nd time. Camper 2 students can fulfil 3 indicators of mathematical communication ability for the 3rd time.
