PENGENDALIAN KUALITAS PADA PROSES PERCETAKAN SURAT KABAR DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN LINE BALANCING DI PT. TEMPRINA MEDIA GRAFIKA GRESIK

PT. Temprina Media Grafika Gresik merupakan salah satu industri yang
bergerak dalam bidang percetakan terutama surat kabar dan mencoba untuk
memenuhi permintaan pelanggan serta melakukan perbaikan kualitas, tingkat
keefisienan dan keefektifan waktu dengan menerapkan seven tools dan metode
RPW untuk mengetahui posisi balance keseimbangan lintasannya. Hasil
pengolahan data 6 jenis cacat yaitu register, lipatan tidak sejajar, kerataan tinta,
cetak kotor, cetakan ghosting, dan cetakan tidak sesuai. Sesuai prinsip diagram
pareto bahwa 20% cacat cetak kotor harus segera dilakukan perbaikan karena dapat
menimbulkan 80% masalah yang terjadi. Penyebab utama dari kecacatan tersebut
yaitu operator lelah sehingga mengakibatkan operator menjadi kurang teliti dalam
mensetting mesin menyebabkan mesin dan tenaga kerja menganggur disatu pihak
dan dipihak lain sangat sibuk, air pembasah dan tinta yang digunakan tidak sesuai
standar perusahaan, tidak mentaati SOP perusahaan, lapisan roll blanket dan pompa
tinta yang rusak sehingga tinta luber, serta kondisi roll air dan mesin tidak bersih.
Penerapan metode RPW menunjukkan waktu menurun sekitar 400 menit perbulan
dengan nilai efisiensi sebesar 85% serta balance delay 15%. Solusi yang diusulkan
adalah memperbaiki SOP yang telah ditentukan, meningkatkan sumber daya
manusia, memperbaiki lingkungan kerja dengan menyeimbangkan elemen kerja
untuk mencapai waktu operasi yang seimbang dan mencapai target produksi
tertinggi.

According to the principle of the Pareto diagram, 20% of dirty print defects must

main cause of these defects is that the operator is tired, causing the operator to be
less careful in setting up the machine, causing the machine and labor to be idle on
the one hand and very busy on the other, the wetting water and ink used are not
according to company standards, not complying with company SOPs, damaged roll
blanket layers and ink pumps so that the ink runs over, and the condition of the
water roll and machine is not clean. The application of the RPW method shows a
decrease in time of about 400 minutes per month with an efficiency value of 85%
and a balance delay of 15%. The proposed solution is to improve the predetermined
SOP, improve human resources, improve the work environment by balancing work
elements to achieve a balanced operating time and achieve the highest production
target.
