Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang dimana pada proses pembelajaran masih banyak digunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Sehingga diperlukan model pembelajaran yang sesuai. Seperti pada model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education education yang akan memudahkan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal bentuk cerita dengan membayangkan pada kehidupan nyata. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika materi barisan dan deret aritmatika siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 WRINGINANOM. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan Posttest-Only Control Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPA. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling sehingga didapat kelas XI IPA 2 dan XI IPA 4. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan dokumentasi dan tes. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t yang sebelumnya dilihat normalitas dan homogenitas. Berdasarkan analisis data dengan taraf signifikan 5% atau 0,05 maka diperoleh nilai t_hitung=3,62 dan nilai t_tabel=1,99. Karena t_hitung>t_tabel berarti H_0 ditolak dan H_1 diterima berarti terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika antara siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran realistics mathematic education dan siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran konvensional.Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa SMAN 1 Wringinanom.
The purpose of students' mathematical problem solving where in the learning process many conventional learning models are still used. So we need an appropriate learning model. As in the Realistic Mathematics Education learning model which will make it easier for students to solve story problems by imagining real life. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Realistic Mathematics Education learning model on the ability to solve mathematical problems in the material of arithmetic sequences and series of class XI students of SMAN 1 WRINGINANOM.The design of this study was quantitative with a Posttest-Only Control Design. The population of this research is class XI IPA. Samples were taken by purposive sampling technique so that class XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 4 were obtained. Data collection techniques were carried out with documentation and tests. Data analysis used the t-test which previously saw normality and homogeneity. Based on data analysis with a significant level of 5% or 0.05, the t_count= 3.62 and t_table = 1.99 values are obtained. Becauset_count>t_table means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, it means that there are differences in the ability to solve mathematical problems between students who are taught by the realistic mathematics education learning model and students who are taught by conventional learning models.Therefore, it could be concluded that the implementation of the Realistic Mathematics Education model has an influence on the students of SMAN 1 Wringinanom’s ability to solve mathematical problems.
