Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti memiliki ruang lingkup
representasi gender dalam buku teks BAHASA INGGRIS XII oleh
Pusat Kurikulum dan Buku, Balitbang, Kemendikbud, Karena buku teks BAS dari Kurikulum Merdeka belum dirilis untuk kelas XII. sekolah menengah, juga jika kita menganalisis semua teks, mereka termasuk dalam genre selain analisis gender. Berapa proporsi karakter laki-laki dan karakter perempuan dalam teks dan gambar, apakah ada perbedaan antara proporsi dalam teks dan gambar dari Buku Teks EFL berjudul “Bahasa Inggris XII” oleh Pusat Kurikulum dan Perbukuan, Balitbang, Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan menurut kerangka kerja Carole Brugeilles dan Sylvie Cromer? Ada
beberapa referensi dari penelitian ini yang bisa ditemukan. Ada sekitar 1896 karakter yang menunjukkan representasi gender dari segala aspek. 1344 karakter ditemukan dalam kategori laki-laki, sedangkan 806 karakter ditemukan dalam kategori perempuan. Begitu juga dengan hasil penelitian ini yang didominasi oleh kategori laki-laki. Ada beberapa kesimpulan yang berkaitan dengan penelitian ini. Kesimpulannya adalah sebanyak 1896 karakter yang menunjukkan representasi gender dari semua aspek. 1344 karakter ditemukan dalam kategori laki-laki, sedangkan 806 karakter
ditemukan dalam kategori perempuan. Dari seluruh data, 71% berada di bawah kategori laki-laki dan 29% berada di bawah kategori perempuan. Artinya, “BAHASA INGGRIS XII” oleh Pusat Kurikulum dan Perbukuan, Balitbang, Kemendikbud, tidak memiliki proporsi atau keterwakilan yang seimbang antara kategori laki-laki dan perempuan baik dalam analisis karakter maupun gambar.

In this study, the researcher has a scope in gender
representation in the EFL textbook entitled “BAHASA INGGRIS
XII” by Pusat Kurikulum dan Perbukuan, Balitbang, Kemendikbud, Because the EFL textbook from Kurikulum Merdeka not been released yet for XII grade of high school, also if we analyze all texts, they fall into genres other than gender analysis. What is the proportion of male characters and female characters in the texts and images, is there any difference between the proportion in the texts and in the images from EFL Textbook entitled “Bahasa Inggris XII” by Pusat Kurikulum dan Perbukuan, Balitbang, Kemendikbud according to Carole Brugeilles and Sylvie Cromer framework? There are some inferences from this research that could be found. There were about 1896 characters that indicated gender representations from all aspects. 1344 characters were found under the male category, while 806 were found under the female category. It’`s also happened to the result of this study, in which it‟s dominated under the male category. There are some conclusions related to this study. The conclusions are about 1896 characters which indicated gender representations from all aspects. 1344 characters were found under the male category, while 806 were found under the female category. All over the data, 71% were under
the male category and 29% are under the female category. It meant that “BAHASA INGGRIS XII” by Pusat Kurikulum dan Perbukuan, Balitbang, Kemendikbud, does not have a balance proportion or equal representation between male and female categories both under characters and pictures analysis.
