Karya sastra adalah ciptaan yang disampaikan dengan komunikatif tentang maksud penulis untuk tujuan estetika. Karya sastra terkenal dengan dua bentuk yaitu fiksi dan nonfiksi. Jenis karya sastra fiksi yaitu prosa, puisi, dan drama, sedangkan non fiksi yaitu biografi, autobiografi, esai, dan kritik sastra. Novel yang berjudul “Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan The Story Of Life” karya Agnes Davonar menceritakan tentang kisah perjalanan hidup seorang anak kecil kakak-beradik yang bernama Anton dan Angel yang terlahir dari keluarga tidak mampu, kemudian kedua orang tuanya meninggal dunia karena kecelakaan. Penelitian tentang analisis nilai moral dalam novel “Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan The Story of Life” karya Agnes Davonar ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan Teknik analisis data yang yakni teknik analisis kualitatif dan menggunakan pendekatan mimetik. Sumber data yang digunakan yakni Novel yang berjudul “Surat Kecil Untuk Tuhan The Story Of Life” karya Agnes Davonar, penerbit Falcon Publishing pada tahun 2016 di Kota Jakarta. Data yang digunakan berupa kata atau frasa yang mengandung nilai moral pada novel “Surat Kecil Untuk Tuhan The Story Of Life” karya Agnes Davonar. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik baca dan tulis. Hasil penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan secara terperinci data penelitian yang telah di dapat dari nilai moral tokoh utama novel “Surat Kecil Untuk Tuhan The Story Of Life” karya Agnes Davonar. Peneliti menggunakan teori dari Nurgiyantoro sebagai landasan analisis nilai moral. Data yang menunjukan nilai moral tokoh utama dalam novel ini meliputi nilai moral hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan, nilai moral manusia dengan dirinya sendiri, dan nilai moral manusia dengan manusia lain.

A literary work is a creation that is conveyed communicatively about the author's intentions for aesthetic purposes. Literary works are famous for two forms, namely fiction and nonfiction. The types of fictional literary works are prose, poetry, and drama, aswell as non-fiction, namely biography, autobiography, essay, and literary criticism. The novel entitled "A Little Letter to God The Story Of Life" by Agnes Davonar tells the story of the life journey of a small child brothers named Anton and Angel who was born to an incapacitated family, then both parents died in an accident. The research on the analysis of moral values in the novel "A Little Letter to God The Story of Life" by Agnes Davonar uses a type of descriptive research with the technique of analysis of data which is a qualitative analysis technique and uses a mimetic approach. The source of the data used is a novel entitled "A Little Letter to God The Story Of Life" by Agnes Davonar, publisher of Falcon Publishing in 2016 in Jakarta City. The data used is in the form of words or phrases that contain moral value in the novel "A Little Letters to God The Story Of Life" by Agnes Davonar. The data collection technique in this study used read and write techniques. The results of this study aim to describe in detail the research data that has been obtained from the moral value of the main character of the novel "A Little Letter to God The Story Of Life" by Agnes Davonar. Researchers use the theory from Nurgiyantoro as the basis for moral value analysis. The data showing the moral value of the main character in this novel includes the moral value of man's relationship with God, the moral value of man with himself, and the moral value of man with other human beings.
