Abstract
Pada masa remaja sering muncul berbagai permasalahan yang dialami individu dalam proses perkembangan menuju dewasa, seperti permasalahan dalam bidang pribadi, sosial, karir dan belajar. Dalam permasalahan bidang belajar, adapun salah satu permasalahan tersebut ialah kurangnya self-directed learning readiness yang dimiliki oleh peserta didik dalam proses belajarnya di sekolah Hal ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya self-directed learning readinesss pada masa remaja yang dapat dipengaruhi oleh kurangnya belajar mandiri sebelumnya, kurangnya motivasi intrinsik, kurangnya keterampilan manajemen diri, dan gaya pembelajaran yang tidak sesuai. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui signifikansi strategi discovery learning dalam bimbingan kelompok untuk meningkatkan self-directed learning readiness peserta didik.
Adapun rancangan penelitian yang akan digunakan oleh peneliti yaitu rancangan one group pre-test post-test design yang merupakan kelompok peneliian pra-eksperimental. Populasi yang diambil adalah peserta didik kelas XI IPS-3 SMA Wachid Hasyim 5 Surabaya yang berjumlah 36 peserta didik, dari populasi itu diambil sampel penelitian sebanyak 5 peserta didik dengan menggunakan simple random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan skala pengukuran yang telah diuji validitas dan uji reliabilitas. Teknik analisis statistik yang akan digunakan yaitu uji Wilcoxon.
In adolescence there are often various problems experienced by individuals in the process of development into adulthood, such as problems in the personal, social, career and learning fields. In the field of learning, one of these problems is the lack of self-directed learning readiness possessed by students in the learning process at school This is motivated by low self-directed learning readinesss in adolescence which can be affected by lack of previous independent learning, lack of intrinsic motivation, lack of self-management skills, and inappropriate learning styles. The purpose of this study was to determine the significance of discovery learning strategies in group guidance to improve self-directed learning readiness of learners.
The research design that will be used by researchers is the design of one group pre-test post-test design which is a pre-experimental research group. The population taken was students of grade XI IPS-3 SMA Wachid Hasyim 5 Surabaya which amounted to 36 students, from that population a research sample of 5 students was taken using simple random sampling. The data collection method uses a measurement scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. The statistical analysis technique to be used is the Wilcoxon test.
