Penelitian ini bertujuan ingin mengetahui pengaruh pola asuh demokratis terhadap kedisiplinan belajar siswa. Proses perkembangannya seseorang siswa perlu memiliki sikap disiplin agar memperkuat dirinya sendiri untuk selalu terbiasa patuh dan mempertinggi daya kendali diri, dengan adanya kedisiplinan, maka individu akan mampu berperilaku sesuai dengan yang diharapkan dan mampu mengaktualisasikan dirinya dengan baik. Sikap disiplin yang timbul dari kesadarannya sendiri akan dapat lebih memacu apabila dibandingkan dengan sikap disiplin yang timbul karena adanya pengawasan orang lain. Disiplin dapat tumbuh dan dibina melalui latihan, pendidikan, atau penanaman kebiasaan yang dimulai sejak dalam lingkungan keluarga, mulai pada masa kanak-kanak dan terus tumbuh berkembang sehingga menjadi disiplin yang semakin kuat. Salah satu kendala yang sering terjadi dalam pola asuh demokratis adalah orang tua tidak menjalankan tugasnya sebagai guru utama sebagaimana semestinya. Orang tua dan anak-anak lebih cenderung menghabiskan waktunya lebih banyak dengan kesibukan- kesibukan duniawi, kepenatan yang disebabkan kesibukan sekolah bahkan lebih jauh lagi dianggap sebagai obat penawar kebosanan atau kesepian di rumah karena orang tua sibuk tanpa memperhatikan anak-anak.

This research aim to determine the influence of democratic parenting on student lerning discipliiine. Development process of a student needing to have a disciplined attitude in order to strengthen himself to always be accustomed to obeying and increase his power of self-control. With discipline, the individual will be able to behave as expected and be able to actualize himself well. A disciplined attitude that arises from one's own awareness will be more encouraging when compared to a disciplined attitude that arises from the supervision of other people. Discipline can grow and be fostered through training, education, or cultivating habits that start in the family environment, starting in childhood and continue to grow and develop so that it becomes an increasingly stronger discipline. One of the obstacles that often occurs in democratic parenting is that parents do not carry out their duties as primary teachers as they should. Parents and children tend to spend more time with worldly activities, fatigue caused by school activities is even further considered as an antidote to boredom or loneliness at home because parents are busy without paying attention to their children. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of parents’democratic parenting style on students’learning discipline.
