Penelitian ini dilaksanakan berdasarkan fenomena yang ada di kelas X SMAN 1 Balongpanggang yang menunjukkan tingkat self-esteem kategori rendah. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah mengetahui efektivitas pemberian layanan bimbingan kelompok cinemateraphy untuk meningkatkan self-esteem peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh bukti empiris mengenai efektivitas layanan bimbingan kelompok cinemateraphy untuk meningkatkan self-esteem peserta didik.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian pre- eksperimental bentuk one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas X SMAN 1 Balongpanggang dengan sampel 7 peserta didik yang terindikasi self- esteem rendah. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan skala pengukuran self-esteem. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yakni analisis statistik dengan menggunakan Uji Paired Sample T-Test.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan self-esteem pada peserta didik. Hal tersebut diperkuat dengan menggunakan Uji Paired Samples T-Test yang menunjukkan hasil bahwa nilai signifikansi yang diperoleh adalah 0,000 < 0,05 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya pengaruh signifikan dalam penggunaan layanan bimbingan kelompok cinemateraphy untuk meningkatkan self-esteem peserta didik SMAN 1 Balongpanggang.

This research was carried out based on the phenomenon that existed in class X of SMAN 1 Balongpanggang which showed a low level of self-esteem. The formulation of the problem in this research is to determine the effectiveness of providing cinematherapy group guidance services to increase students' self-esteem. This research aims to obtain empirical evidence regarding the effectiveness of cinematherapy group guidance services to increase students' self-esteem.
This research uses a quantitative approach with a type of pre-experimental research in the form of a one group pretest-posttest design. The research population was class X students at SMAN 1 Balongpanggang with a sample of 7 students who indicated low self-esteem. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling technique. The data collection method uses a self- esteem measurement scale. The data analysis technique used is statistical analysis using the Paired Sample T-Test.
The research results show an increase in self-esteem in students. This is confirmed by using the Paired Samples T-Test which shows the results that the significance value obtained is 0.000 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant influence in the use of cinematherapy group guidance services to increase the self-esteem of students at SMAN 1 Balongpanggang.
